Darryl C. Hill, Ph.D., MBA, CSP, serves as Program Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Lecturer at Oakland University’s School of Health Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Oakland University, an MBA in Environmental/Sustainability from Southern New Hampshire University, and advanced degrees in Biblical Studies and Hazardous Waste Management.
His research focuses on accreditation dynamics, particularly the impact of ABET accreditation on occupational safety and health education outcomes. Teaching specialties include Construction Safety, Environmental Standards & Pollution Control, and Safety & Health Administration. Dr. Hill is affiliated with the American Society of Safety Professionals, Michigan Safety Conference, and Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
His publications span safety leadership, sustainability integration in safety practices, and accreditation’s role in shaping OSH curricula. Professional interests also include hazardous waste management and comparative analyses of classroom vs online learning efficacy.
Outside academia, Dr. Hill enjoys marathon running, teaching Sunday School, and family activities. His interdisciplinary background bridges education, environmental science, and occupational health disciplines within Oakland University’s health sciences initiatives.
