Dr. Darren Shannon is an Associate Professor in Quantitative Finance at the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick. He also holds associate professor roles at the Centre for Emerging Risk Studies and Lero – the Irish Software Research Centre.

- PhD in Applied Statistics
His research focuses on AI applications in finance (machine learning, deep learning, NLP), cryptocurrencies/NFTs, econometrics, and quantitative transportation studies. He directs the MSc in Finance and MSc in Insurance & Risk Management programs.
