Salim Saay is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Information Systems at the University of Limerick, and a Researcher at Lero—the SFI Research Centre for Software and R@ISE. He holds a Ph.D. in Software Engineering from Tallinn University, Estonia, and prior academic roles include Lecturer at Athlone Institute of Technology and Associate Professor at Kabul University. His research focuses on software architecture design, low-code/no-code systems, secure collaboration platforms, blockchain, and AI-driven technologies. He is funded by SFI, EC, USAID, and NATO, leading projects like the R@ISE initiative for LCNC adoption in Ireland.
