Darren Haywood

Dr. Darren Haywood is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Cancer Survivorship at UTS's INSIGHT Research Institute. His research examines mental health, cognitive impairment, and care models across the cancer continuum from diagnosis to end-of-life.

Current projects investigate speech analysis for suicide risk detection in eating disorders (MRF-funded) and AI applications in clinical exercise physiology. Leads the UTS Mental Health Research Network and advises the Think Pink Foundation.

Recent work addresses brain fog as public health concern and neurocognitive underpinnings of dimensional psychopathology. Awarded MASCC Cognition Fellowship for cancer-related cognitive impairment research.
