Dr. Darlene Ciuffetelli Parker is a Professor in the Department of Educational Studies at Brock University's Faculty of Education, serving as Associate Dean for Professional & Undergraduate Student Services. She holds advanced degrees including a PhD, MEd, BEd, and Honours BA. Her research focuses on equity, diversity, and inclusion in educational systems, particularly addressing systemic barriers related to poverty, race, ethnicity, gender, and mental health through community partnerships.
Key affiliations include collaborations with the Niagara Catholic District School Board, Durham District School Board, and the Ontario Ministry of Education. She has led significant projects like the Canadian study on poverty in elementary schools across Ontario and the Niagara Prosperity Initiative Evaluation funded by the Trillium Grant. Her work bridges academia and community through advisory boards and knowledge mobilization networks like the RSEKN.
