Dr. Dariusz Brykała is a retired professor at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization (IGiPZ PAN), affiliated with the Department of Environmental Resources and Geohazards. His career spans over two decades, beginning at IGiPZ PAN since 1998, with prior roles at Nicolaus Copernicus University (2007–2013) and a research visit to GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences (2016). He holds a PhD in Earth Sciences (2007) from IGiPZ PAN and a master’s degree in Biology and Earth Sciences from Nicolaus Copernicus University (1998).
His research focuses on Physical Geography, including Hydrology, Glaciology, and Landscape Geography, alongside Historical Geography, History of Cartography, and applications of UAV technology in geographical studies. He has contributed to projects on renewable energy and geotourism.
