Darin Bradley is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the English Department at the University of North Texas. He specializes in narrative development and scriptwriting for video games, combining literary expertise with interactive media. Bradley has previously served as principal scriptwriter for id Software, renowned for titles like Doom and Quake, and has taught at UNT, Furman University, and East Tennessee State University.
His creative works include four novels—Noise (2010), Chimpanzee (2014), Totem (2016), and Bloodmetal (2023)—and a short fiction collection, Light Both Foreign and Domestic (2017). His short fiction, poetry, and critical essays have appeared in multiple journals. Bradley also co-founded the experimental literary ezine Farrago's Wainscot.
His academic focus bridges traditional literary narrative structures with modern game design principles, emphasizing immersive storytelling and player engagement. He actively contributes to both creative writing and game development communities through teaching, publications, and industry collaboration.
