Daria Davitti is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Law, Lund University, specializing in international law with a focus on human rights, environmental law, and health law. She leads major research projects including the ERC-funded Refugee Finance initiative and the Formas-supported Screening for Sustainability study. Her work intersects international economic law, human rights obligations, and sustainable development goals.
Her research spans topics like refugee finance mechanisms, EU Taxonomy compliance, climate law, and corporate accountability. She has held visiting roles at the College of Europe and contributes to international organizations such as the Global Legal Action Network (GLAN). Awards include the 2021 Juridiska Föreningens pedagogiska pris and a 2007 Special Excellence Alumni Award.
Davitti’s grants include €2.5M from the ERC Starting Grant and Formas funding for sustainability research. She advises PhD students on topics like human rights due diligence and environmental screening criteria. Her lab focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to global legal challenges, combining legal analysis with socio-economic frameworks.
