Darby Dickerson

Darby Dickerson serves as President and Dean of Southwestern Law School, where she leads institutional strategy and academic programs. She holds advanced degrees from The College of William & Mary (B.A., M.A.) and Vanderbilt University School of Law (J.D.). Her professional trajectory includes deanships at four law schools: UIC John Marshall Law School (where she orchestrated its merger into the University of Illinois Chicago), Texas Tech University School of Law, and Stetson University College of Law. She previously clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and practiced commercial litigation.

Dickerson's research examines critical issues in legal pedagogy and academic administration, with concentrations in:
