Daphna Nachmani

Dr. Daphna Nachmani is a researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science's Faculty of Biology and Department of Molecular Genetics. Her work focuses on ribosome heterogeneity as a regulator of cell-type-specific translation in hematopoietic stem cells, leukemia, and viral infection.

• ERC Starting Grant recipient (2022) for research on ribosome heterogeneity in hematopoiesis and leukemia
• Utilizes ribosome profiling, RNA modification sequencing, and CRISPR-based screens
• Combines ex-vivo stem cell research with in-vivo models (bone marrow transplantation, leukemia xenograft)
