Danuta Żiżka

Dr. Danuta Żiżka is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Recreology and Biological Regeneration at the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation, University of Physical Education in Kraków. She holds a Master's in Physical Recreation and a PhD in Physical Culture. Her expertise focuses on health-oriented physical recreation methods, particularly for adults and seniors, including Nordic walking, smovey, and slow jogging. She leads preventive physical activity programs and integrates practical instructor experience with academic research.

Research interests include the role of physical activity in health behaviors, lifestyle structuring, and recreational motivations across demographic groups. She teaches courses such as Methodology of Physical Recreation, Health Recreation, and Theory of Recreational Training. Her work bridges scientific inquiry with practical applications in physical education and aging populations.
