Danny Driver is a distinguished pianist and academic at the Royal College of Music (RCM), holding roles as Piano Professor, Contemporary Piano Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor. He earned an MA from the University of Cambridge and a PGDip from the RCM, shaping his holistic approach to performance. His research focuses on Performance, Historical and Source Studies, and Musicology, with a broad repertoire spanning three centuries of music.
Driver collaborates with orchestras worldwide, including the BBC Scottish Symphony and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and performs at venues like London’s Wigmore Hall and the BBC Proms. His chamber music partnerships include violinist Chloë Hanslip and cellist Oliver Coates. He has supervised doctoral students such as Yuki Tampo-Hinton and Laura Casas Cambra.
