Danielle Thomas

Danielle Thomas (She/Her) is an Alexander Technique teacher at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she works with musicians to improve posture, avoid injury, and correct habits affecting performance. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Movement at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

• Education: BFA from Boston University, AmSAT certification from The Alexander Educational Center, and studies at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

Research & Practice: Focuses on mind-body integration for performers, particularly vocalists, and explores how postural adjustments impact acoustic spectrum and vocal formants. She is currently collaborating on a book about Alexander Technique for singers.

Additional Roles: Maintains private studios in Lafayette, CA, specializing in Alexander Technique and vocal coaching. Her work emphasizes holistic approaches to performance and daily activities.
