Danielle Sanderson

Danielle Sanderson is an Associate Professor (Teaching) at The Bartlett School of Planning, University College London, where she serves as Programme Director for the Urban Planning and Real Estate BSc. With a background spanning academia, industry, and professional consultancy, she brings extensive practical experience to her teaching and research in real estate.

Her educational background includes a PhD from the University of Reading (2016), an MA (Hons) from the University of Oxford (1985), and professional recognition as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2024).

Danielle's research focuses on landlord-tenant relations, occupier satisfaction, and customer experience across commercial and residential property sectors, primarily in London and the UK. Her work bridges academic theory with practical industry applications, as evidenced by her consultancy with RealService Ltd and the RealService Best Practice Group since 2005. Her research demonstrates how customer-focused approaches can enhance the financial performance of real estate investments.
