Danielle Friberg

Danielle Friberg is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in the Department of Occupational and Recreational Therapies at the University of Utah. She holds academic appointments at West Coast University and Keck Graduate Institute, where she served as Capstone Coordinator. Her teaching focuses on pediatric occupational therapy, assessment techniques, and community-based program development.

Education: BS in Psychology (2007), MOT in Occupational Therapy (2011), OTD in Occupational and Recreational Therapies (2017), all from the University of Utah.

Research interests include doctoral capstone program evaluation, lifestyle medicine applications in pediatrics, and occupational therapy's role in women's health. She is a Certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional and actively contributes to professional organizations like the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Recent teaching activities include courses on pediatric occupational therapy processes, population-based programming, and cultural therapeutic relationships. She has held roles at multiple institutions including adjunct positions in Pediatrics (2015–2019) and full-time faculty since 2018.
