Danielle Dutton is a Professor of English at Washington University in St. Louis and Co-Director of the Center for the Literary Arts. She holds a PhD from the University of Denver, MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her research focuses on experimental fiction, independent publishing, and historical narratives. Dutton is the author of four novels, including Margaret the First (2016) and SPRAWL (2018), and co-founder of the feminist press Dorothy, a publishing project. She has received the Arts & Sciences Excellence in Teaching Award (2024) and the Golden Colophon Award (2020) for her contributions to publishing.
