Prof. Daniele Rotolo is a Professor in Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy at SPRU (Science Policy Research Unit), University of Sussex Business School, and an Associate Professor at Polytechnic University of Bari. He holds a PhD in Innovation Management from Scuola Interpolitecnica (Italy) and has held roles including EU Marie Curie Researcher (2014-2016) and Visiting Researcher at UCL and NYU Stern. His research focuses on emerging technologies, innovation networks, scientometrics, and interdisciplinary research barriers. He has been funded by the European Commission, Cancer Research UK, and HEFCE. Rotolo serves as Associate Editor of Research Policy and has published in top journals like Research Policy and Technological Forecasting and Social Change.
His teaching includes courses on Network Analysis, Data Science for Innovation, and Managing Innovation. He has advised grants such as CANCERSCREEN (EU, 2017-2022) and NETGENESIS (EU, 2014-2016). His work integrates scientometric methods with policy analysis to address challenges in technology governance and knowledge creation.
