Daniele Paserman is a Professor of Economics and Department Chair at Boston University's Department of Economics (College of Arts and Sciences). He holds research affiliations with the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA). Paserman earned his PhD in Economics from Harvard University. His research focuses on labor economics, political economy, behavioral economics, and economic history, with notable contributions on intergenerational mobility, gender dynamics, and policy analysis. He currently serves as President of the Society of the Economics of the Household (SEHO).
His academic career includes roles such as Research Fellow at IZA and leadership in organizing conferences like the inaugural SEHO session at ASSA2025. Recent research explores topics including racial representation in media, gender differences in competitive environments, and the impact of economics education on gender attitudes.
