Daniele Bergamaschi is a Non-clinical Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Cell Biology and Cutaneous Research, part of the Blizard Institute under Queen Mary University of London's Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. He leads the Autophagy Group and chairs the British Society of Investigative Dermatology since 2020.

- PhD-equivalent in Cancer Pharmacology, Mario Negri Institute (1998)
Research Interests:
- Autophagy signaling in epidermis and skin diseases
- Genetic/epigenetic regulation of autophagy in cutaneous SCC
- MAPK inhibitor resistance mechanisms in melanoma
Teaching Roles: Course Lecturer for BIO116, Academic Coordinator for First-year Laboratory practicals, Supervisor for Third-year projects, and MSc Regenerative Medicine project lead.
