Daniele Artoni is an Associate Professor in Slavic Studies at the University of Verona's Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures. He holds a PhD in Linguistics and leads the interdisciplinary research group GIAM, focusing on inclusive foreign language teaching methodologies for Russian and English. His academic responsibilities include coordinating the continuing education course for Russian language teachers (RKI) and serving on multiple departmental committees including the PhD Council for Linguistics.
His research explores:
- Pragmatic competence development in Russian learners
- Accessible teaching frameworks for visually impaired students
- Post-Soviet language policy analysis
- 19th-20th century cultural relations between Russia and the Caucasus
As principal investigator, he manages several grants including:
