Daniela Monaldi is a Senior Lecturer and Course Director in the Department of Science, Technology and Society at York University's Faculty of Science. She holds a physics degree from Sapienza University of Rome and a PhD in the history of science from the University of Toronto, with postdoctoral research experience at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin.

Her research bridges the history of twentieth-century physics with contemporary societal challenges, particularly focusing on quantum statistics and sustainable food systems. She integrates Science and Technology Studies (STS), gender analysis in STEM, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) into her work, including themes like climate action, zero hunger, and reduced inequalities.
