Daniela Mineva is a Professor of Music and Director of Keyboard Studies at California Polytechnic State University, Humboldt. She holds a Doctor of Music Arts from the Eastman School of Music and has taught at prestigious institutions such as the Eastman School of Music and Concordia University. Her career spans international performances as a soloist and chamber musician, with a focus on contemporary works and collaborations with composers like Vera Ivanova and Kaija Saariaho.
- Previous roles: Artistic/Executive Director of Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop (2013–2018), Co-Director of North Coast Piano Festival.
- Competitions: Winner of the 2007 Jean Francaix Piano Competition and recipient of the ‘Highest Artistic Level of Performance’ award.
Research interests include bridging classical and contemporary repertoire through performances of living composers’ works. Her CD ‘Volume One’ highlights this focus. Teaching engagements include masterclasses across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and South America.
Awards reflect her excellence in both performance and pedagogy, including the McCrone Award and recognition for teaching at Eastman.
