Daniela Ferrarello is an Associate Professor of Didactics and History of Mathematics at the University of Catania, affiliated with the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment. She actively participates in research, educational projects, and academic administration.
Her research focuses on mathematics education with technologies, Euclidean geometry using transformations, serious games for mathematical learning, and the cultural/social role of mathematics. She has led projects like "Vietato non tocco" (funded by the Italian Teacher Prize) and contributed to European initiatives like Ma t'SMc.
Key scientific contributions include a 2016 Research Fellowship in Algebra (MAT 02) at University of Catania and participation in the DMI Research and Experimentation Teaching Unit since 2008. She served as reviewer for Annals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.
