Daniela Constantinescu

Daniela Constantinescu is an Undergraduate Program Director and Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria (UVic). She holds a BASc from Transilvania University (Romania), MASc and PhD from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Her research focuses on haptics, robotics, mechatronics, and dynamics and control, with applications in rehabilitation and human performance enhancement. She has been recognized with the Best Paper Award at the 2004 IEEE International Symposium on Haptic Interfaces. Her current research explores haptic rendering of virtual environments, collaborative haptic manipulation, and passivity-based control of robotic systems.
