Professor Daniel Zizzo serves as Academic Dean and Head of School for the School of Economics at the University of Queensland, holding a full Professorship in economics. He maintains active international academic engagement, including a recent visiting position at the University of Cambridge Faculty of Economics from January 3–19, 2023.
Zizzo's research applies theoretical economic frameworks to real-world behavioral phenomena, with concentrated expertise in macroeconomic and microeconomic modeling of health-related decision-making and unlawful digital file-sharing practices. His work bridges economic theory with empirical analysis of human behavior in health economics and digital piracy contexts, demonstrating interdisciplinary methodological approaches.

His leadership spans strategic direction, faculty development, and research initiatives within this prominent Australian economics institution.
