Daniel Yi Xu

Professor Daniel Yi Xu is a Professor of Economics and Co-Director of Admissions for the PhD Program in Economics at Duke University's Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University (2007).

His research focuses on Productivity, International Trade, and Industrial Organization, with emphasis on emerging economies like China, Colombia, Taiwan, Korea, and Turkey. Key research areas include innovation dynamics, exporting behaviors, and industry productivity. He has received grants from prestigious institutions including the National Science Foundation and the World Bank.
