Prof. Dr. med. Daniel Waldvogel is a Titularprofessor (Professor) at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine of the University of Lucerne. He specializes in movement disorders, particularly Parkinson's Disease, and works in clinical practice at the Neurological Clinic St. Anna in Lucerne since 2000. Since 2001, he has served as a consultant for movement disorders at the Neurological Clinic of the University Hospital Zurich, where he received the Venia Legendi in Neurology in 2010.
His research focuses on clinical neurology and movement disorder management. Waldvogel leads the Foundation for Research in Parkinson's and Movement Disorders as President and serves on the board of the Baasch-Medicus Foundation. He earned his medical degree from the University of Basel, completed his doctorate in 1989, and trained at major Swiss hospitals and the National Institutes of Health (USA) from 1997-2000.
