Christoph Konrad

Prof. Dr. med. Christoph Konrad is an Adjunct Professor of Medical Sciences at the University of Lucerne since October 2022. He serves as Chief Physician of the Department of Anesthesiology at Lucerne Cantonal Hospital (LUKS) since 2007 and has held senior clinical and academic roles at institutions like University Hospital Mannheim and the University of Heidelberg.

He studied human medicine at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg, earning his medical license in 1995 and a doctorate in anesthesiology. His research focuses on modulating inflammatory responses, particularly through lidocaine, and spans clinical medicine, emergency care, and critical care disciplines.

Christoph Konrad’s career includes specialist certification in anesthesiology (2001), Venia Legendi (2001) from Heidelberg, and leadership roles in academia and hospital settings. He remains active in clinical practice and academic mentorship.
