Dr. Daniel W. Mruzek is a Clinical Associate Professor (Voluntary) in the Department of Pediatrics, Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics at the University of Rochester. As a licensed psychologist and licensed behavior analyst, he specializes in behavioral interventions for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. His work includes clinical consultation for schools and agencies, psychoeducational assessment, and promoting inclusive educational practices.
Dr. Mruzek’s research focuses on applied behavior analysis, particularly in developing innovative interventions for toileting challenges and evaluating pharmacological treatments for co-occurring conditions like ADHD in autism. He has led multiple funded studies and contributed to peer-reviewed journals and books on topics ranging from toilet training methodologies to evidence-based practices in special education.
He holds a PhD in Psychology from Ohio State University (1996), with prior postdoctoral training at the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities. His professional contributions include editorial roles for scientific journals and development of standardized psychological assessments.
