Daniel Vincent Krogstad

Daniel Vincent Krogstad is a Research Assistant Professor in Materials Science and Engineering and Principal Research Scientist at the Applied Research Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He holds a B.S. (2006) and Ph.D. (2012) in Materials Science from UIUC and UCSB, respectively. His research focuses on processing-structure-property relationships in soft materials, including scalable self-assembly, biomaterials, and polymeric coatings. Key contributions include developing zirconia-based corrosion-resistant coatings and studying bio-inspired materials for bone growth.
