Daniel Tubb is Associate Professor of Anthropology at University of New Brunswick and Adjunct Research Professor at Carleton University, specializing in political, economic and environmental anthropology.
Education includes:
- Ph.D. in Anthropology from Carleton University
- M.A. in Political Economy from Carleton University
- B.A. from Trent University
Research examines resource extraction impacts in Colombia, rural issues in New Brunswick, and smart-climate forestry. Current projects include analyzing early-phase resource projects and sustainable rural development.
Fellowships include the Program in Agrarian Studies at Yale University (2014-2016). He serves as English Book Review Editor for Anthropologica and previously served on CALACS board.
He mentors graduate students in sociocultural anthropology with regional focus on Colombia/Latin America and Canadian Maritimes through UNB's MA and Interdisciplinary Ph.D. programs.
