Daniel Tran is a Professor in the Civil Engineering department at the University of Kansas School of Engineering. He joined the university faculty in 2013 and holds professional credentials as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) certified professional.

He also investigates project planning, scheduling, sustainable design and construction with life cycle assessment approaches, and work zone design and safety considerations. His research bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in civil engineering projects.
