Prof. Daniel Toal is a Full Professor and Chair of Electrical Engineering and Robotics at the University of Limerick, affiliated with the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering and multiple research centers including Lero and the Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems. With a PhD and M.Sc. from Cranfield University, he specializes in marine robotics, controller design, and autonomous systems for challenging environments.
