Daniel Stracke

Daniel Stracke served as a research associate at the University of Münster's Cluster of Excellence 'Religion & Politics'. His roles included participation in two key projects: Project B4 ('Blessings for the Powerful: Legitimacy and Legitimation of Political Rule in Late Medieval and Modern Urban Processions') from January 2009 to July 2009 and January 2010 to June 2010, followed by Project C2-23 ('Topography of Multireligiousness: Parish Expansion and New Places of Worship in 19th and 20th-Century Cities') from March 2011 to February 2016. His work focused on intersections of religion, urban culture, and political legitimacy across historical contexts.

Research interests centered on medieval and modern religious practices, urban processions as political instruments, and the spatial dynamics of multireligious communities in urban environments. His contributions advanced interdisciplinary scholarship on how religious symbolism and spatial configurations shape sociopolitical power structures.
