Dr. Daniel Smith is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Cardiff University's School of Social Sciences. His research focuses on cultural sociology, elites, celebrity culture, digital sociability, and comedy studies. He holds a PhD from the University of Exeter, where his ethnographic work examined elite group identity through the lens of the Jack Wills brand.
