Daniel Silva is an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Officer in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Auburn University's Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. His research spans sustainable logistics, smart manufacturing, and additive manufacturing systems.

Current research focuses on Industry 4.0 digitalization for small manufacturers, lead-free defense electronics, and 3D-printed aerospace components. Collaborations include partnerships with Toyota Material Handling North America for drone-based rural healthcare solutions and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) for global sustainable logistics.
