Dr Daniel Shayo serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Economic Law at the School of Law, University of Dar es Salaam since December 2016, and has been Head of Department since November 2018. He coordinates the BMZ-funded regional integration research project jointly operated by the University of Bayreuth and University of Dar es Salaam, while also acting as external examiner for Open University of Tanzania and Mzumbe University.
