Daniel Rubenson is Professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at Toronto Metropolitan University, with a PhD from the London School of Economics. His research focuses on comparative politics, political behavior, voter participation, and electoral systems. He employs field experiments and econometric analysis to study causal relationships in politics.
As Principal Investigator of the Canadian Election Study and co-lead of the Consortium on Electoral Democracy, his current projects examine property rights effects, politician responsiveness to citizen preferences, and perceptions of community diversity. His work has appeared in the American Journal of Political Science, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Journal of Politics.
