Daniel Rodriguez Ramirez

Daniel Rodriguez Ramirez is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at California Polytechnic State University, specializing in Social-Community Psychology. His work focuses on understanding and promoting transformative social change through participatory methods with marginalized communities.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Social Psychology from UC Santa Cruz (Designated Emphasis in Latino/Latin American Studies)
• M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Springfield College

Research Interests: Examines how care workers, organizers, and minoritized groups drive equitable systemic change using qualitative and participatory approaches. Key topics include decolonial psychology, community-based interventions, and care-based organizational practices. Recent projects include participatory action research with Latine youth addressing post-pandemic recovery and community safety.
