Daniel Ovalle Costal is an Associate Professor (Teaching) at The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London (UCL). He combines academic work with architectural practice in London, focusing on commercial and mixed-use projects. His teaching spans design studios and skills across the Architecture MArch (Part 2), Engineering and Architectural Design MEng, and Architecture MSci (Part 1/2) programs.
Research interests: Daniel explores the intersection of architectural design with domesticity and queer studies, emphasizing unconventional forms of making like dollhouses, miniatures, and pop-up books. His work bridges popular culture with architectural theory and practice.
