Professor Daniel Nordgård works at the University of Agder's Department of Popular Music, directing CreaTeME (Center for Excellence in Creative use of Technology in Music Education). His research focuses on music industries' digital transitions, particularly structural changes, streaming economics, and policy frameworks.
- Co-leader of Popular Music Studies research group
- Active board member in Gramo (Norwegian collecting society) and Gramart (Norwegian Artists' Organization)
- Co-chair of Kristiansand Roundtable Conference
Research projects include CROWDCUL (crowdfunding in cultural industries) and CeDiT (digital transformation). He publishes across Springer, Bloomsbury, and International Journal of Music Business Research, with recent 2024 works addressing AI integration and sustainable artist careers.
