Daniel Naurin is a Professor of Political Science at the Universities of Gothenburg and Oslo and Director of ARENA. He holds a PhD from the University of Gothenburg (2004) and has held positions at institutions such as the European University Institute in Florence and the Swedish Institute for Foreign Affairs. His research focuses on EU politics, judicial decision-making, interest groups, transparency in governance, and the intersection of law and politics. Notably, he examines the European Court of Justice's influence on state policies and gender dynamics in EU negotiations.
**Education:** PhD in Political Science from University of Gothenburg (2004).
**Research Interests:** His work spans lobbying, transparency reforms in the EU Council, international negotiations, and judicial politics. Current projects include studies on the CJEU's decision-making processes, gender roles in EU Council negotiations, and interest group representation. He emphasizes the EU as a critical case for political science research.
