Daniel Mourlam is an Associate Professor at the University of South Dakota's School of Education, where he serves as Division Chair for Teacher Education. His work bridges educational technology, teacher development, and child well-being research.

Mourlam’s research focuses on digital technology integration in education, particularly through the TPACK framework, and its impact on teacher beliefs and student well-being. His recent studies examine how K-12 educators adapt to technology integration during crises like the pandemic and how young children engage with digital media compared to print formats.
He has secured significant funding including grants from the National Science Foundation for K-16 STEM education initiatives and the South Dakota Community Foundation for LLM-assisted teacher satisfaction research. His professional recognition includes multiple Outstanding Paper Awards from SITE and the Judi Harris Research Into Practice Award for TPACK-related scholarship.
