Daniel Meinhardt is an Associate Professor and Richter Museum Curator at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, specializing in human anatomy, evolutionary biology, and the intersection of art and science. He holds a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Anatomy from the University of Kansas (2002) and a B.S. in Biology from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (1992).

His early research examined miniaturization in frogs and philosophical questions in evolutionary biology, while recent work focuses on human reproductive anatomy development, particularly atypical sexual differentiation. He employs scientific illustration and photography to address ethical limitations in studying human sexual variation, collaborating with art professor Alison Gates on the mixed-media piece Gender Reveal Party, exhibited at 100Arts Gallery in Madison, WI.
