Dr. Daniel Meierrieks is a Research Fellow at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center, affiliated with its Department for Migration, Integration, and Transnationalization. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Paderborn (2012) and has held visiting roles including Professor at the University of Kiel (2016–2017). His research focuses on the economics of terrorism, migration dynamics, development economics, and climate change impacts. Notable contributions include analyzing corruption-terrorism links, US military aid effects on anti-American terrorism, and climate change's role in migration and health outcomes.
