Daniel Martin is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, specializing in generative systems, typography, and digital humanities. He holds an MFA from the University of Minnesota (2020). His research explores intersections between design, data, and academic publishing through algorithmic processes and visual abstraction.

Research Focus: Martin’s work includes the Bound Volumes series (2023–present), translating academic journal data into color timelines, and Layout Deconstruction (2020), analyzing scientific journal layouts. His practice emphasizes design as a tool for social advocacy and education, exemplified by projects like Worker’s Rights (2021) for CTUL and Creativity in Everyday Life (2019) exhibition identity.
Recent projects include designing promotional materials for ISME 2024 in Helsinki and typesetting the Root Magazine (2023) for UW-Parkside’s Freshwater Collaborative.
Collaborations: Goldstein Museum of Design, CTUL, and the International Society for Music Education. His work has been exhibited at venues including the Anderson Gallery (Kenosha, WI) and High Point University’s Sechrest Gallery.
