Daniel M. Hardy

Daniel M. Hardy, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Biochemistry at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. His research spans multiple disciplines with a focus on reproductive biology, evolutionary genetics, zoonotic diseases, and musculoskeletal biology. He earned his Ph.D. in Medical Sciences/Biochemistry from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.

Dr. Hardy's research interests center on protein molecular evolution in animal fertilization and species divergence, zoonotic disease transmission, and connective tissue remodeling. His work combines biochemical, cell and molecular, genomic and phylogenetic approaches to characterize proteins that promote reproductive isolation.
