Daniel Lin

Daniel Lin is Professor in the Department of Urology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Professor in the Cancer Prevention Program at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. He serves as Chief of Urologic Oncology at UW Medicine, Director of the Institute for Prostate Cancer Research (IPCR), and Co-Chair of Surgical Oncology.

His research focuses on early detection and prevention of aggressive prostate cancer, with expertise in biomarkers, genomics, immunotherapy, and advanced imaging techniques. As IPCR Director, he advances genomic applications and immune-based therapies while investigating inherited risks and lifestyle impacts on cancer biology.

Dr. Lin chairs the SWOG Cancer Research Network's Localized Prostate Cancer Committee and leads clinical trials including the Prostate Active Surveillance Study and metastatic prostate cancer treatment trials. His leadership spans the Pritt Family Endowed Chair in Prostate Cancer Research and surgical oncology coordination at UW Medicine.
