Daniel Lacorazza, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Pathology & Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine and leads the Experimental Immunology & Hematology Laboratory at Texas Children’s Hospital. His research focuses on genetic and epigenetic mechanisms in normal and leukemic blood cell regulation.
- Education: MSc and PhD from University of Buenos Aires; postdoctoral training at NIH and Memorial Sloan-Kettering.
Research Interests: Elucidating how transcription factors like KLF4 and ELF4 regulate hematopoietic stem cell self-renewal and leukemia progression, with a focus on context-dependent oncogenic/ tumor-suppressive roles.
Publication Trends: Recent work explores KLF4-DYRK2 pathways in CML, MAP2K7 inhibitors for T-ALL, and epigenetic vulnerabilities in leukemia stem cells using mouse models.
