Univ.-Prof. Dr. Daniel König is a Professor at the Faculty of Life Sciences, Department of Nutritional Sciences, and affiliated with the Centre for Sport Science and University Sports, Department of Sport and Human Movement Science. His research focuses on nutrition science, exercise physiology, and sports medicine, with emphasis on dietary interventions, glycemic index effects, and lipid metabolism in athletes. He leads the Women's Beet: Nitrate, exercise and vascular function in midlife women project (2025–2027), funded as research funding.
